It was tough getting up for work today, but now that I'm here, I want blood. Now, granted, a liquid breakfast would probably be more healthy as well, but today is mainly due to the carnage factor that I would like to inflict upon my coworkers! Actually, it's funny, I'm ridiculously cheerful, despite it being a hellish week. It is so cool having nice people around me that i invariably get happy talking to friends and coworkers throughout the day.
Anyway, i've been a sloth this week, but i'm hoping to rectify that this weekend.

No Gym, back yard exercise

havent been in the gym in days, however worked on the yard again last night, got about half the grass cut into sod squares and moved the hot tub(not a good idea alone) that hurt.
reworking the drainage next to the walk way as I go, needs more dirt and also moving the sod behind the house, where the deck will eventually be. Dont want to move the dirt and sod twice!
fell pretty good about my "workouts" - although a patio is a mountain of work!

Pretty sure I will blow my diet over the weekend with a Superbowl win and all.....still feel leaner than whenI started.

Would you guys be interested in going to Jefferson Texas for Valentines Weekend??? They have haunted Bed & Breakfast..whatta ya say? Call me. We could record our haunted tour...
Where are you guys? Ging, I called you Friday. I really got drunk for the first time since X-mas on Thursday..I was hurting on Friday..didn't go to the gym on Friday or today Sat. But we did a lot of labor work today. We're laying stones in the backyard. We had to pull out the tiles from Leslie new house and then put them in Jims truck...HE then took them off the truck. Jim really worked his ass off today. I started digging...AND ontop of that, we went to Denton to pick up Jim's old furniture from my aunts house. He and my aunts husband put a couch/seat/tables on the bed of truck..we then had to unload..the couch is too freaking heavy for me, so we had to get Matt to help us. Oh and we had McDonalds for lunch...what a freaking day!!!! I can just imagine what you guys went through while upgrading your house..I want to have the backyard ready for the Super Bowl party...You guys are coming right? We will have games, food and tons of fun. There will be kids here so bring Micah. I'm trying to figure out games for them...maybe soccer net. any ideas? Miss ya, jo

Supper Nanny//wow

ok.I'm watching Super Nanny, poor single dad..his kid is beating the shit out of him. Work outs are coming along well. Worked out Monday and Tuesday...took off today. Cardio still sucks. I need to bump it up a little more. Food has been ok. Breakfast have been good..I had PFChangs Tuna Ahi and veggies..we had puertorican tamales last night..not the healthy, but damn..they are good.I had Fish Rock today for lunch (business lunch) Blackend Talapia..I tool Granma to ZuZu's cafe and had one gorditta...mmm. Mom is finally staying at the rehab, she's the youngest person there..so she's the baby. There's a bunch of older white haired older ladies there..She's been there for two night and still no therapy..kinda pissed about that. We'll see what happens.

OK, so we are having a Super Bowl party..go guys are invited ofcourse. Jim is making his famous spagetti..come early for food and bring your boozz. I'll be making Patriot shots!!

hang in there Jo, it is always easier for men to lose wt because they are genetically inclined to have a higher muscle to fat ratio than women....yet one more sinister aspect of the ability to grow a baby!

Damn..Ging..watch where you're going!! I'm NOT weighting myself for 4 weeks, but I will get my fat% tomorrow and mesurements. I can start seeing changes in my stomach and hips. We did eat crappy yesterday and today we had two pieces of pizza (roma tomatoes, mushrooms and chicken)..it wasn't that good. We went to Desirees house last night for her birthday and we played a game called Apples to Apples...it's a lot of fun. I'm getting it so we're gonna have to come over and play it soon. I'm not traveling this week so I'm looking forward to having good workouts.

Cleansing

Cleansed for 2 days earlier this week and started again today. Weighed 225 this morning when I woke up. So offically 6 lbs from last monday, but actually 9lb from my top weight of 234 last week. Johanne thinks I am cheating, because it is water weight.(really she is mad because I am making better progress than her) Dont care I feel better. weigh myself everyday for those "little victories" - helps keep eating good top of mind
Actually really proud this morning since we partied last night, booze and fajitas can kill progress, but I didnt eat too much and was drinking liquor instead of beer.
got 5 workouts in this week(cardio included and we all know how I feel about cardio) and busted ass yesterday moving paving stones, climbing on and off the roof and moving cabinets and such, AFTER we went to the gym and did legs! ...........my back is killing me.
Where is that ICY / HOT??

G's Week in Review

Good thing I was able to fit in two workouts on Tues & Weds in Houston, cuz it all went downhill once I got back home. Jeff and I tried to do a quick walk before he left for work on Thursday and it ended disastrously.....you know how some people can't chew gum & talk? Apparently I am unable to walk and talk....tripped on some uneven pavement, tried to catch myself and ended up shredding my right hand. Though since all the skin was torn from my knuckles, my story is that I recently had my prison tats removed! Didn't work out Friday (unless you count shopping), hiked on Saturday, and now am sitting on my butt in the Houston airport. So considering the erratic physical activity, and dietary indiscretions (ate at Terrili's, had fries twice Sat.), I'm actually pleased to report a half pound weight loss for this week. As a dietitian, my advice is to aim for a 1/2 pound to 1 pound weight loss per week........but it sure is hard to happy about that as a normal overweight person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a week! Just to go hang out and party in New York.

My weight this morning is 187.0, but the scale says my body fat percentage is 26% What the hell? Does that mean I can lose 26% of my mass? Heheh...

Yesterday my exercise consisted of hiking at Grapevine Lake, on a fossil searching expedition, followed by moving heavy objects helping Kris and Jerry at their new house. Neither was terribly tough, but I also didn't eat much-I splurged with Mickie D's for breakfast, skipped lunch, then had a burger with just a few fries at dinner, followed by weight watchers bar thingee at 1:00 a.m. when I woke up.

This week is really going to be a challenge to eat well, especially since G is out of town. Today, i'm sure I'll get some good exercise chasing after Micah on his bike, if it's warm enough.

OMG...I weighted myself this morning before working out and I'm at 140..I don't feel that fat though..so I need to get my fat % done asap and measurements as well...worked out my chest w/ 30 min of cardio..I'm ready for Friday..Granma wants cranberry w/Vodka and I think I might join her tomorrow. ..We sorta cheated with a lowfat/low sodium clam chowder soup..the sad part about it is that tasted gross. I'm going to souper salads tomorrow for soup.mmmm..I'm sooo ready for the weekend. Mom had a pace maker put in today, she's doing much better. She should be out on Monday, then heading to rehab..woohoo. that's it...buenas noches amigos

All my old work outs are all about strength and size -- love my 5x5

Monday weigh in was 231# - by Wednesday up to 233# --- go figure
(my weight will fluctuate alot) - used to waiver almost 10 lbs when I used to weight myself everday years ago, made the gym Tuesday morning and Wednesday night.
Trying new high rep, multiple body part, multiple excercise workout, after 2 workouts really cant tell how good it might be, but has a good cardio aspect....my heart rate was about 140 when I started cardio.
and yes kids I am doing cardio and F**kin hate it

Here's why I'm eating a cream cheese danish...

So i'm leaving with Katherine (coworker) to go get her car from the assholes at City Garage who were going to charge her $900 for brakes and $1100 for a manifold gasket, and...
Lisa, our admin, who is the one that called me a cannibal, etc...walks over to Katherine and says "You need to take someone with you that has balls and a spine instead of Jeff"
she was using a joking tone, but it really irked me...and then she starts in about how much she knows about car repair because her husband's a mechanic...and she tells me i don't know what i'm talking about as far as part prices and labor costs go...
I let her irritate me and told her that as a matter of fact, I do, as I worked for FUCKING TOYOTA managing that FUCKING process...and, at one point, I said "pull your head out" as she was being stupid-saying brake pads that cost 30 bucks at Autozone, could very well reasonably cost $90 at a garage...
she stormed off saying how offended she was and then muttered that i was "full of shit"
Katherine was trying to be diplomatic, but Lisa just said to me"Don't talk to me," and proceded to say that she'd call her husband and he'd take care of things...
Give me a fucking break...she's such a wacked out idiot
...that's why i was gone for two hours...got Katherine's car, they tried to lower the quote, but it was still obscene, so she wanted to take it to another mechanic that a coworker recommended...
so i followed her there-35 and Royal Lane..., and brought her back, but stopped at the mother fuckin' bakery since we drove right past it...brought the team cookies...although lisa gets nothing!
Yeah, so i'm in a foul mood. People suck ass.

It's sucky & rainy here in Houston, but at least I can say I worked out! Yesterday, I came back to the hotel, changed clothes and then got sucked into working "just a few minutes"....and then I was starving. I kept telling myself that I would go down to the treadmill here at the hotel, but it never happened.......so TODAY I packed my gym clothes in the laundry bag, and went straight to a 24Hour Fitness when I was done at my last clinic. Then I popped (haha just had a typo and wrote pooped)......into Jason's Deli for a baked potato and fruit cup. Go Team Weadock!!!!!!!!!!! The double J's are going down!!!!!!
wow..it sounds like you had a great day Jeff. That's a lot of running around. What did you have for lunch? just curious.

Jim and I went to the gym again this morning at 6AM. I worked out my shoulders and Tris, he did back and bic. Jims strategy is to lean out and grow muscle,this should equal to loss of weight. right Ging? We haven't been able to get our fat % done at the gym yet. I guess the trainers do not get their that early. I made breakfast, which consisted of egg while omelet, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, one slice of wheat bread and some cheese. this is not a normal breakfast for us. I was bad for lunch and had 4 baked chicken drums..but at least it was not fried chicken. We didn't have chicken breast. I had to haul ass to the hospital to see mom. she's doing better. Driving all the nurses crazy now that she feels good. She should be going to a rehab on Fri or Mon. They warn me already that I had to spend time with her in rehab becuase they don't really do much for her. Urgh!! so for dinner we had Baked Tilapia and Broccoli. I don't think it was enough calories/food though. So, I wanna know where Ginger is? don't see her on the Blog.

Today is the day...

It's stunningly beautiful outside...i can't wait to get the hell out of the office and go home and run. I was going to last night, but just didn't have the energy. I'm totally running on fumes today, but adrenaline has its uses.
On Monday, my weight was 194.3 lbs. I've been doing well about eating, sort of...I had a breakfast croissant this morning, as I was STARVING, but have had two cranapple juices, a banana and only one cup of coffee since.
And I remembered to take my Centrum Cardio vitamin today, and had a smoothie cholesterol lowering thing last night.
I actually got some exercise already today-walked over to our HQ building (200 yards away, but still) this morning, and then this afternoon I had to jog over there, pick up a box and jog back...lol...i looked funny running in black dress slacks, brown dress shirt and dress shoes...but it felt good.
Anycow...that's my story for the day...

Aha...OK..I was able to create an account and post on the log.woohoo. I'm so excited about our contest. I can already smell the yummy food you two are going to be cooking for us. As you all know my mother has been in the hospital since the 3rd, so I haven't been able to work out much. But I was at the gym this morning by 6:05. Wow, I couldn't believe it!! had an awesome workout. Worked out my back and bic and did 30 min. of cardio. I already had my first conference call and ready to kick ass today. I feel really energized..considering I love to sleep in and I usually get up at 8:29 to start working at 8:30. BUT my legs are really freaking sore from doing a hard leg work out on Sat. OMG, I couldn't move yesterday or this morning..but I stretch and good to go. Took my recovery shake this morning soI wouldn't be sore again tomorrow. OH yeah, forgot to tell you about our dinner last night at Chili's. We piged out on Spinash/Artichoke Dip and we had the Chocolate Chip/Ice Cream Desert as our last yummy meal for awhile. I've just invited Johanne and Jim to join the blog so that we can track our big weight-loss contest. I've already spoken to my crack dealer and he's increasing his imports. G's going to buy a new and accurate scale today and then comes the possibly painful weighing in.
So...welcome Jim and Johanne! It's gonna be fun! I'm all about getting in better shape and losing weight.

glowie keyboards, iPod and thou...

it's been an amazingly relaxed day-it helps, actually, that i was sick and have basically been lying around doing very little all day. i fired up the iPod and listened to all sorts of stuff, including Smodcast wtih Kevin Smith, and my sleepytime playlist. I forgot how amazing it is just to listen. I really get reminded at such times about how i just love music. Much like books, it gives your imagination free rein to go where it will.
I downloaded some good stuff this week that is upbeat and fun: Above and Beyond, Felix da Housecat, Tranzident and 16-bit Lolita's. I loved the latter's name so much that I downloaded it simply because of that. Turns out, it's actually good...a little rough, but good.
Now we're about to go over to Kris and Jerry's and do dinner and give Um his Christmas present...and show him the sword he bought for me. Still contemplating how to really make it mine...er, without killing someone with it, that is.
