Humbled...

I had my fourth first interview today, and it didn't go very well...I think I got overconfident from last week's three successful interviews...but it did make make me realize that there is a lot of network level stuff I need to brush up on and/or relearn. Still, this was with a company that i wasn't terribly interested in, as I'm hoping for the small commercial realty firm to make me an offer, as well as Jenn's now former company, that she just left. I'll find out about both, likely, tomorrow, as i have second interviews with both of them.

Work is nightmarish today, with one of my team gone, and the rest of us really, really scrambling. We moved a bunch of people from the company that bought us into our corporate HQ last week, and they are on a different domain. However, they want our admins to be able to see their stuff, to print to our printers and have shared email between our folks and theirs. What a beating this is.

Grunt. Conversely, it was a very happy and fun Mabon, yesterday! I even cooked a yummy rice dish with lots of veggies, apples and walnuts in it. Jerry made a terrific dish of cornish hen meat, served on a slab of bread with a spicy gravy over the top. Kris made a very tasty desert dish, with a lot of the same ingredients as my rice dish. Ha! Everything turned out delicious, though, and we had a nice time.

Back to it. Positive thinking!
